✨ Why I Offer In-Person Tattoo Planning Sessions—and Why They’re Worth It
Tattooing is more than just a service. It’s a deeply meaningful collaboration—a process rooted in trust, artistry, and precision. That’s why, for clients with complex or large-scale projects, I don’t skip straight to tattoo day.
Instead, I offer in-person planning sessions—and truthfully, I prefer it that way.
🖤 So, What Is an In-Person Planning Session?
Think of this as the deep dive into your tattoo journey. These sessions are best suited for clients who:
Are starting a large project or multi-session tattoo
Need help refining or shaping their idea
Have placement or sizing concerns
Are getting a cover-up or reinventing an existing tattoo
Simply want to feel comfortable and get a full understanding of the process before tattoo day
You’ll visit the studio, meet me face-to-face, and experience the energy and environment where your tattoo will come to life.
👋 Why I Strongly Prefer This Step
These planning sessions aren’t just about chatting—they’re a crucial design tool that makes a major difference in the final result.
Here’s what we accomplish:
You get to see the space: Feel the vibe, check out the cleanliness and comfort, and get grounded before your actual tattoo session.
We build trust: Meeting in person creates a level of ease that texting or emailing just can’t match.
I get to see your body: Placement is everything. Seeing your anatomy in person allows me to create a custom blueprint for your piece—ensuring we address scale, symmetry, movement, and how the tattoo will age over time.
We avoid surprises: No more guessing how something fits when you show up on tattoo day. This step allows us to pre-resolve potential design or sizing issues before needles ever touch your skin.
It saves you time and money: With everything mapped out ahead of time, your tattoo session becomes more efficient—and that means fewer hours spent (and paid for) making big changes on the fly.
💸 Cost & Credit
In-person planning sessions are $150.
This fee is credited back to you either:
At the end of your tattoo project (for multi-session pieces), or
On the day of your tattoo session (for single-session tattoos)
It’s not just an expense—it’s an investment in a better outcome.
🧭 Who It’s For
This session is ideal if:
You need more than just a small walk-in tattoo
You’re unsure of exact placement, sizing, or how your idea will translate on skin
You’ve never been tattooed before and want a warm introduction to the process
You’re getting something meaningful and want to know it’s being handled with care
✨ Final Thoughts
As your artist, it matters deeply to me that your tattoo is done right—that it fits your body, your story, and your vision. These in-person sessions help us get there, together.
If you're someone who values precision, connection, and a tailored experience, this step is for you.
